Dolphin Swim Akaroa

If you have always dreamed of swimming with dolphins then this is an opportunity not to be missed! Travel to Akaroa with a short stop at a cheese factory where you'll sample a fine selection of New Zealand's finest cheeses. On arrival in Akaroa, join Black Cat 2 for a cruise on the harbour, spotting dolphins, penguins and seals en route. On catching sight of the dolphins, you will join them in their natural habitat and swim with the rare and endangered Hector's dolphins in the open sea. Following your swim, take time to browse the village and have lunch (own expense) before returning to Christchurch.

Whale Watch Kaikoura

Travel to Kaikoura to one of New Zealand’s leading eco-tourism destinations, renowned for its variety of marine mammals. Spot sperm and humpback whales, dolphins and seals (weather permitting) which are all attracted by the rich feeding grounds. After lunch there’s time to visit a fur seal colony on the rocky shores just outside of Kaikoura, before travelling back to Christchurch with a stop for wine tasting at one of the exclusive local vineyards.

Zealandia - Twilight Kiwi Spotting

As dusk falls, Zealandia (formerly known as the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary) comes alive with birdsong. Join your guide as you endeavour to seek out the elusive New Zealand mascot, the kiwi. With over one hundred calling the sanctuary home, there is a high 'spotting' chance as they rummage through the leaf litter. In addition, view glowworms that will light up your path as you explore two reservoirs and historical buildings.

Takaro Trails - Cycle the Vineyards

Wine on Waiheke

Take this opportunity to head out of the city and cruise over to Waiheke Island where you'll be treated to a deluxe vineyard tour. Your first visit is to the picturesque Mudbrick vineyard overlooking the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf where you will enjoy premium wine tastings. Next, you will travel to The Goldie Room, Waiheke's first and best established winery with breathtaking views across the water to Auckland City and the Coromandel.
