Inland from the beaches and bustle of the Gold Coast lies south east Queensland’s Main Range National Park, an area of ancient lands, volcanic plateaus and spectacular luxury retreats. Begin in the foothills before winding your way through state forests and national parks and overnighting at the Canopy Eco Lodge with time for a food and wine masterclass. Your last night is at Spicers Peak Lodge for well deserved pampering and exceptional food.

Itinerary

DAY 1: MOUNT MITCHELL TO CANOPY ECO LODGE

Start the day with a 5km hike to the twin peaks of Mount Mitchell, through rainforest and eucalypt forests, known as Cooyinnirra to the Aboriginal people. Descend down to your first sight of Canopy Eco Lodge and this evening enjoy a gourmet dinner with famous local wines.

DAY 2: MILLER VALE CREEK CIRCUIT

Enjoy a half day hike around the local area, including Millar Vale and Oaky creeks; in the afternoon there is free time - choose to head off on a mountain bike, relax, or enjoy a food and wine masterclass.

DAY 3: CANOPY TO SPICERS PEAK LODGE

Today there's a 10km steadily ascending trail across scrub, through pine forests and rocky outcrops, before emerging at the summit to see Spicers Peak Lodge. This unique hotel is perched at the top of the rim and is home to exceptional food and wine - the perfect end to your day!

DAY 4: SPICERS PEAK LODGE

Start the morning with a walk to Ryan's lookout - those wanting a more leisurely day can try out the Spa Anise, or take a scenic helicopter flight (additional costs) over the Main Range National Park.
